Aerofan school in Madrid is closed by order of the Spanish Civil Aviation
Once again, the controversial Cuatro Vientos school in Madrid, Aerofan, has been closed due to irregularities. Some time ago it was the first school in Spain investigated by the English Civil Aviation, and then by the accident of the twin engine of the m-40 where two pilots died. Then they closed the maintenance shop.
Now they have not flown for two months again with the school closed. I am very sorry for the pilots who are studying there because of the problems this school gets into from time to time. |
Wow... do you have more information about the irregularities or how long are they going to be in this situation?
I was thinking in doing the ME&IR there :bored: |
Goodday Citationdos,
Sorry to be reading all that. [...] closed due to irregularities. Some time ago it was the first school in Spain investigated by the English Civil Aviation [...] BTW it was probably also the first school in Cuatro Vientos with a substantial number of students from the UK receiving training for ratings in their UK issued licences. The CAA are unlikely to investigate a school where no UK citizen or pilot ever sets foot. [...] and then by the accident of the twin engine of the m-40 where two pilots died. As both allegations above also pre-date your own PPRuNe entry moment may I suspect this is largely hearsay? Now they have not flown for two months again with the school closed. I am very sorry for the pilots who are studying there [...] |
HI
it is a level 1 discrepancy, BUT it's a very serious matter because two months closed it's too much time. And the students have to go back or are they going to stay without studying? these things never happen with other schools here. I am very disappointed of this school |
Hi everyone,
Here from the aeronautical training company AEROFAN ATO. We want to deny any accusations of @citationdos. First of all we don´t understand what do he/she means by ´´controversial´´, since we are one of the oldest flight schools in the country, being active for almost 30 years in which we did not have any kind of accident and we have not been involved in any problems with the students nor the authorities. Regarding the accident that @citationdos is talking, we would like to clarify that matter; The plane involved in the accident had nothing to do with aerofan, the plane was not part of aerofan fleet, the crew was not part of aerofan and the occupants had nothing to do with aerofan, so we can firmly assert that we had no part in that sadly accident. Regarding the current situation of the school, we can assure you all that we have no mayor problem, specially nothing that compromises the high standard of safety to which we are committed. An official communication has been issued to all the students and we will be back in the skies in the coming days. From this response we ask that the dissemination of information that does not reflect the truth should be controlled or AEROFAN will take the corresponding measures. AEROFAN ATO, IS AT THE DISPOSAL OF ANY USER TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS OR CLARIFICATIONS. TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THE ORDER AND GOOD FUNCTIONING OF THE SCHOOL AS WE HAVE BEEN DOING FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS. |
I am not going to run away, whenever you want, I will give you another reason: (If you can do something do it, so we can publish here the result)
Since you are here, you can explain why the only Spanish school that has been investigated by the English Aviation is Aerofan. If I am lying, you have now more reasons to take the corresponding measures. |

And since you're here, are you kind enough to tell us why you have 5 stopped planes? Because what is happening is not normal. It is very sad that people pay so much money for the illusion of flying and then this happens. Here you have the license plates of the planes that are stopped. If I am lying, you have now more reasons to take the corresponding measures. GVC HHX KIY FZI JKE |
As far as I know, the twin engines they had wasn't Aerofan's property and they had money problems with the owner and they are without twin engines for 3 months
