Strategies for revising ATPL theory knowledge

Hi All,

Long time lurker first time poster. I'm interested to hear if anyone has any idea or strategies for revising ATPL theory and keeping knowledge fresh post exams?

Cheers

I believe the SOP is to forget absolutely everything shortly after the exam...

The ultimate purpose of most exams these days is to succesfully pass the exams.

My personal strategy is as follows:
  1. Study the material.
  2. Write bullet-pointed notes of key points, especially stuff that isn't likely to stick in your head. Refrain from copying what you've just read and keep it brief!
  3. Type this up on the computer. This acts as a second pass to reinforce your learning.
  4. Read your bullet points making sure you understand everything. This is the third pass to reinforce the knowledge.
  5. Practise questions.
  6. Go back and revise anything you got wrong. Make sure you understand why you got it wrong.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as needed.
Of course, everyone is different and learns in different ways, but this works for me.
