Meteorology Question

I have started studying for my ATPL exam and i came across few questions on the Oxford which i find no solutions here is one

The 850 hPa pressure level can vary in height. In temperate regions which of the following average heights is applicable?

a. FL100 b. FL 300 c. FL 390 d. FL 50

can anyo e give me an explanation on how to sort this question.Best Regards

Quick rule of thumb is 850hPa is 1.5km (FL050) 500hPa is about 5km ( FL180)and 300hPa is approximately 10km (FL300). Based on this, there is only one possible answer out of the four.

Or think of the fact that 1hpa = 30’. ISA pressure at seal level is 1013hpa. 1013 - 850 = 163. 163 x 30 = 4890’

Why don’t you study the Standard Pressure decrease And open your bloody books as the previous poster mentioned and make a calculation.
this question is way too easy for ATPL level sorry.
