New EASA ATPL Exams: What will this mean?

Hi everyone,
I was told that EASA is bringing in a new exams syllabus from June onwards and that they will be more project and essay based. I'm wondering if anyone has any rough idea about what will be different from the current syllabus. Was pushing to begin training before June but if this new syllabus is better for cadets, then I may wait a few months. I was also told a lot of the outdated content is being removed so whatever is in the new syllabus will be up to date and very much relevant.
Thanks,
Friendly Skies

I wouldn't hold your breath - much of it has been simply moved around. Some old stuff has been taken out but a lot has been added. The project and essay based bit is for one new exam - KSA 100 - and will be down to your school. We don't plan to do essays.... :)

Thanks for your response. I was under the impression and it was major reshuffle as airlines weren't happy with the quality and knowledge of their new pilots. So, I'm guessing it's not going to change in a big way?
