Modular path best practices

Hi Guys,

This is Evangelos 35yo from Greece. I recently took the decision to make it happen and as i am a bit late (in terms of age) and with a day job and a wife in place i found the Modular way the only path for my case. I enrolled at a local ATO in Greece for my PPL(A) a couple of weeks ago. My target is to reach as soon as possible CPL (ATPL Theory) IR ME MCC and try to dive into the (Hard) airline job market. At this time i am wondering whats the most efficient way to accomplish it. (Generally speaking i am fluent in English, i have electrical engineering background and i am willing to work as hard as needed)

My ATO works with Trevor Thom books + a bunch of their documents like Ops, Checklists, Aircraft manuals, Avionics etc.

Having these in mind and my intention to go there as fast as possible i have the following questions, your experiance on these will be highly appreciated and as far as i have read around a case like mine is pretty common in the aviation :)

1) Do you suggest to study the whole Trevor Thom's book series (Air pilots manual 1,2,3,4,6,7) before starting the expensive flight training ?

2) Is there any roadmap for studying the books ? (Eg in which order to study each manual?)

3) Do you suggest any additional training material like, books, dvds or Youtube channel ? (I have seen the PPL Dvds from Jepessen and found them very informative)

4) I have heard that many students rely on question databases like AirQuiz and PPL Cruiser, is it mandatory to use them ? (I am not good at remembering things by heart, i only recall knowledge that i have understood how they are working)

Thank you in advance,
Best,
Evangelos
