Professional Pilots requiring urgent news on Easy jet E mail

Any body else get an E mail from Easyjet last week re: recruitment.

Yes.

Very clever of them to use the Pprune nondeplume, even though the statement about them giving priority to peeps who want a Scotland base annoyed me somewhat... I am here, willing and able Mr easyJet...

Can anyone be a git more specific as to whats going on in Easyland? Are they now looking at Frozen ATPL's, if so what what experience levels?

Yep, a bit cheeky of them, wasn't it...

MJR 1st Aug 2002 09:56

So what did the e-mail say then, you may have guessed I didn't get one.

Ohohoho, I get it, "Professional Pilots Requiring Urgent News On Easyjet", very cool. Interesting that they are sort-of giving this website an acknowledgment then, I heard that the chief pilot wasn't a big fan of PPRuNe and it was considered not the done thing to admit your PPRuNe fetish at interview, so I wonder what the true story is there.

Anyway, is there in fact any urgent news or is it just a cool email title ... c'mon spill the beans chaps :-)

I got the same email, live in Scotland and I'm type rated on the B737 - but still no interview !!!!

Guess I'm way down the pile if they haven't called you yet with a TR. Have you got the required 500 hrs on type?
Luke and MJR
Just to wet your appetite ...
"WE ARE RECRUITING

We are looking for both type rated and non type rated First
Officers and Direct Entry Captains for our bases in Edinburgh,
Glasgow and Belfast (yes, BFS is opening in August!!) and we will
give priority to candidates who want to be permanently based in
these areas.

We currently have spaces available on courses in October and
November and are starting to 'take bookings' for 2003!!

Our minimum requirements are still the same (please see our
website for more details) although if you are a type rated pilot
you now need to have a minimum of 500 hours on type.

As always we give priority to candidates with commercial medium
to heavy jet commercial experience, however, we will continue to
see pilots with a variety of experience."

If you want more info chaps you'll have to fill in the application.

Ummm. Would have thought the CP would have to stay neutral in regards to PPRuNe - as his employers advertise for 'his' pilots here.

So, therefore, it may well be that someone has got it wrong. :)

If you got an email is it worth reapplying? I know that sounds daft but I'm desperate like most too.
Have a nice day KW.:p
