CPL/IR/MEP eastern Europe
 
Good morning,

in the next months i will kick my CPL/IR/MEP course and now i am looking for a School in the eastern Europe.
The countries where it could be interesting continue are: Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Croatia.
Is there anyone that has recently completed the training in one on these countries above?
Any suggestion or review is welcome.

Try Cavok, Budapest. I was satisfied with my training there. Instructors are really good.

Stay away from CAVOK!
They are by far the most ridiculous ATO in Hungary.

Just google their accidents and find out how many people lost their lives. I was about to enroll as a PPL student but one of their current student advised me not to come here because they are lack of maintenance staff and nobody cares about the aircraft they have. Later, the aircraft crashed into the forest and both (other) student and instructor died.

My advice is to pay a visit to Hungary and see Multifly or any other ATOs has been discussed in this forum with your eyes, ask for a demo flight with an instructor and feel satisfied before you sign any contract. During your training, ask what is the reason every time when they deviate from the training plan of yours. Never hold back and insist on what you expect and what they promised at first place.

Poland is also providing good training but I’ve heard about only one ATO named Adriana Aviation.

Also good to mention that I am not representative of any above mentioned ATOs.

Skytaxi.hu might seem like a small school in Hungary..But checkout their fleet.They have a good fleet and also rates are good.

I did not almost "enrolled", i was there, done my training and everything was fine. I cannot understand how someone can tell you go or not go based on rumour he heard. I was there few months ago and had good instructors, good program and good aircraft. My time schedule was respected, i cannot ask more than that. I never heard for multifly and sky taxi I would not comment. I saw total of 7 a/c all flying, maintenance doing their work decently.

  • Good instructors,
  • Good program,
  • Good aircraft,
  • Respected schedule,
  • Good maintenance.
You are talking so good as I almost wanted to re-do my PPL over there.

My friend did not tell me "not to come" because what he heard! He was their student too at that time.
He said what he said because nobody touched the aircraft almost last 75 flying hours as a matter of maintenance.
That particular aircraft he was flying and taking care of was crashed after couple of months he got his license.
But as a mighty PPL holder like you might know everything about ATOs and can easily sell people a fairytale like how good they are btw.

When that happened? How many years ago? I am speaking about my training few months ago. I am a little bit more than simple PPL student, I was there
on FI course and no, I did not ended there to work for them. I just passed objective feeling of the school I was enrolled in. I have some flight experience,
I am also ex airplane owner, I know something about maintenance, paperwork, etc so I am standing behind my words since my check of a/c was on a bit higher
level than actual PPL student does. I was also looking how they work with PPL students, MEP, ME/IR students and everything was up to standard. And
as I said I really had all listed and I was surprised that first time in my aviation education everything was as planned. I cannot guarantee that this will be
their future practice but this was my experience with them. Every school have some deficiencies but in this one I had lot more positive things to say than negative.
Their space to improve is theory for foreign students (can be better) and maybe more airplanes since they have significant number of students.

You decide once you have visited the ATOs on your short list. No one else.

Speak to the staff, but more importantly the Customers training at the moment.
They will invariably give you a realistic assessment.

Avoid large payments up front for substantial discounts for obvious reasons.
Consider commencing training to utilise fully the EASA time window to finish training.

No employment prospects unfortunately any time soon.

Hello guys, I will try my best to answer all your questions about Flight training at Hungary but I need specific questions about it. If you have MEP rating, you can convert MEP/IR in just 6 hours plus check ride and for CPL you need to fly 15 hours and based on the EASA regulations, you need to fly minimum 5 hours on a complex aircraft.
You can get the fastest training at Hungary but it depends on your theoretical knowledge. It can be finished even in 15-20 days but as I said, if you already know the theoretical part of the training.
