Would you recommend school that I looking for?

Glad to see you Aviators :)

I'm freshman of university of my country(South Korea), but I wish I could be a airline pilot.
I decided to study and train in America, but I'm not sure which college to choose.

I'm looking for institute that could train me well, and ultimately build 1,000 hours as work an instructor after the basic program.

I've been searching for weeks for the best college.

The most important conditions for me are as follows.
→ school must have the ability to take students on F-1 Visa
→ not too much expenses. (But if is reasonable, I would accept)
→ easily work as an instructor afterwards the program.
→ no limit of location, but I attracted by Florida. It's just preference!

P.S. I heard difference between Aviation University and Flight academy(non degree) that Uni could easily give F-1 visa than Academy, and also easy to be a instructor(OPT) of their own institute. Am I right?

+ As I searched, ERAU is the best among the universities, but I'm not sure I could cope the money. Do you know the other options?

I believe that you guys recommend to me well.

Did you look into Embry Riddle?

I'm not sure if it fulfills all your requirements but it's a great place for a university degree in aerospace engineering combined with pilot training.

First of all, thank you for reply my question.

Yes, I heard ERAU is one of the best option among the other universities. But I'm searching for other univ. that I'm not sure I could handle it's cost. Would you introduce another univ. rather than ERAU?

I found UND(University of North Dakota) But I'm not sure it's good place to study and fly.

As I have already told you, the MOST important thing to me is "certain possibility of work as instructor(*with F-1 visa) to build 1,000 hours".

Cost is secondary problem.

Have you looked into KAU?

StarCandy 30th Aug 2017 08:54

I did but in my case, studying in U.S. is better than Korea IMO. Korea University(include KAU) has a VERY restrict medical check up standard, so I thought I couldn't pass it well. Also hard entrance examination is reason. I found U.S. is much easier to build 1,000 hours with lower cost. Thus, I'm looking for U.S. Univ.

However ERAU is the great univ. but I heard it's cost is heavy, so I'm looking for another school with reasonable price. (I don't mean ERAU is not reasonable, but it's true that ERAU requires high) If I couldn't find, I'll try to make decision to go to riddle.

So, my question is as follows.

1. Do you think ERAU is the best one although it's high expense?
2. Would tell me another univ. that I could study and build 1,000 hours well?

I thought to go to KAU first, but I guess it's standard of medical check is too high for me. That's why I am looking for Aviation University of America. Would you tell me nice univ. that I could train and build time well?

Hello,

I am a university of toronto student and my situation is familiar to yours .

I am trying to apply a flight academy called Florida flyers in south florida right now. I found it by myself and the flight academy looks good. The school provides M-1 visa(F-1 is not necessary). I could tell you more details just e-mail me. My e-mail address is [email protected]

I am looking for someone study together there.

I've already looked into KAU, but I found it's hard for me to pass the standard of medical check. Therefore I'm searching for American Aviation Universities.
