Pilot Training Suggestions

Hello. I am 17 and have completed my High School. I had decided to pursue my career as an Airline Pilot. I live in United Arab Emirates and would love to work here , with an UAE based airline ( Emirates or Etihad ). I have got two options with me, Flight Training Services (FTS) and Johannesburg School of Flying (JSF). Both of them offer zero to CPL (with minimum hours) for around 30,000 USD.

It would be helpful If I can get the answers for the following :

1. Do I really need a university degree ?
2. Reviews on the above mentioned flight schools
3. After getting the CPL with minimum hours , what are the options available as a pilot ? What are the various opportunities available to complete 1500 hours for ATPL ?

Any other suggestion on hour building , flight schools etc are most welcomed

Looking forward to your kind cooperation.

Thank you

Yes always much better to have a degree
Not too many options after CPL except flight instruction or flying the bush
EK EY and QR will not hire you until you have time on aircraft above 20t or significant turbo prop time
Think long and hard before choosing this as a career , it's a long road ahead . When you are struggling to earn money your friends in other professions will be earning very good salaries as bankers and lawyers

There might appear to be some short cuts , paying to fly , these are scams.

Good luck to you
