Studying for ELP 5

Some countries apply really though standards to get ELP 5. Is there any books that help to prepare for this specific level? I don't know why but I a lot of jobs now require level 5 or even 6! It's unfair to candidates from places where levels are not given so freely.

Amauri's advice is spot on. I have been to an English-speaking country only twice when I was a high school student, however, watching TV in English and reading does help. And I have got ELP 6. The tough part was the listening part.

I read and watch almost 100% English but then speaking becomes a bit challenging. Moving to UK is of course best option but not possible.
RedBull How did you manage to get ELP 6??? Did you get it in the UK? Where I live even theoretically impossible to get ELP 6 as it's not awarded!
Listening part was somehow easy for me! Those recordings are understandable and speech is not crazy fast. Do you know English as good as native or we have different standards again?

I got it in Poland, where I heard it's quite hard to even get ELP 5 sometimes. I just spoke in English and performed well at the listening part on the computer. That's it.
As for the standards used by the several CAA around Europe, I can tell you my examiner was more than fluent in English with a slight British accent, but he was Polish. He just must have spent some years in England.

Ah true, compared to "scholastic" English taught at school in Italy, video games and movies were the only way for me.

So long story short, use English as much as you can in your daily activities. And learn phraseology because ELP will be based on that too. I know someone from Bristol who has got level 4. He's happy about it, everybody is.
