which EASA countries do offer flexible booking for ATPL theory exams
 

Hi there,

I'm looking for information regarding the conversion of an ICAO ATPL into EASA.

If I'm correct, when you meet the requirements, you can book the exams straight away, no need to be recommended by a FTO.

I have done some research and found out that Belgian CAA allows to book slots at their exam center (almost) whenever you want and for whatever ATP exam you need. So far all the other countries I have found work with limited and fixed-date sessions.

Do you know other EASA countries offering the same kind of flexible service as Belgium does?

Belgium is not flexible, at ALL. I don't know what your contacts said, and maybe it changed, but just 2 years ago you had to sit the ATPL exams in 2 modules, sitting every exam in the module during the same week, according to their schedule.

The UK is what you're after, but you'll still need the complete your distance learning course at an EASA ATO.

The perks of Belgium is that you can book a module for every Monday/Tuesday slot that suits you.
Can you just confirm that the contentt of the 2 modules can't be customed to your needs?

The UK is really easy - once you've registered, you can simply log in and book exams for the following week. Exams are first and third week of the month.

As an ATPL holder you DO NOT need to do any kind of course, you can self-certify. Just don't expect to pass!

An ATPL holder with a certain minimum hours as PIC in multi-crew aircraft........

I sat some my exams in malaysia , got talking to a high time fix wing pilot flying a 747 for an asian carrier, he failed first time , managed to pass it second time

Just because you have a license , means nothing .... FAA pilots another big failure rate

The LBA in Germany has the exams Monday to Thursday almost every week of the year, you decide which modules you want to do when you register, and you have to register for the exam slot(s) about two weeks in advance. You can do the all of them in about 3 days. But then the LBA exams are not the easiest either.
