Pilot License Path - Just to clarify
Hello all, just to mention I have been researching this for the past 2 months using various forums and checking out the links on this webpage (some of which don't work) and I just want to clarify I have this correct.
To go from no experience to frozen ATPL; - PPL - Personal Pilot License - PPL NR - Night Rating - ATPL Exams - CPL - Commercial Pilot License - ME - Multi Engine Rating - IR - Instrument Rating = fATPL - Frozen ATPL You can then either apply for First Officer positions or do the following qualifications; JOC - Jet Operations Course (A320 or Boeing 737 by the looks of it) MCC - Multi Crew Course Then apply for first officer positions. I'm interested in hearing from those who have recently landed a position and with what qualifications they had (Obviously I am looking to go the Modular route rather then Integrated and as I understand Integrated you have both JOC and MCC) I look forward to the responses and please no "read the forums" as I have read endless threads which have conflicting information about what licenses supersede others and what requirements are needed etc etc. Thanks |
PPL = Private Pilots Licence.
Most people would add hourbuilding as an item prior to starting the CPL. I suspect you'll need an MCC/JOC regardless, most places seem to need it these days. You may well have to self fund a type rating as well at the end of all that. There are absolutely no guarantees on getting a job at the end of training.... |
