Aeros Flight Training & pilot info/wage
Hi, im new to this forum and wondering if you guys have any experience with aeros? im looking at doing the fast track zero to atpl course at aeros in Coventry
I have been thinking for sometime which route to take.... integrated or modular, aeros flight training (modular) or apply for a scheme through an airline, or CAA Oxford (Integrated) but my choice has been to go with aeros. is that a good choice? is there a good chance joining an airline as a first officer soon as I have completed my atpl at aeros? or can it take time? what are the potential starting wage and max wage flying for an airline such as Ryanair, flybe, easyjet? Sorry for all the questions, hope you guys can help Thanks In advance! |
I'd definitely apply to airline tagged schemes first. Takes away the hustle/stress of job hunting.
Aeros is quite competitive price wise. You can hire a decent IFR equipped Warrior for around £138/hr. I haven't seen anything as affordable in the South at least. |
Hi,
I myself am due to start this course next month. Financially it is much better. The aeros team quoted me 3-6 months between graduation and employment although this could be more or less. They seem to know what they are doing, they've got a good team of instructors, and its got the added benefit of being able to work part time to finance the course, as opposed to taking out a huge loan. hope that helps. |

Anyone have any info on starting wage at a commerical airline such as Ryan air, flybe, easyjet? once you have an atpl

-Google pilotjobsnetwork for salary info.
-The flight schools will always paint a rosier picture. -In my experience, go CTC Wings or a similar integrated course if you want to get into Flybe, Easy, etc. -Prepare yourself mentally for the very real and likely chance of a loooong and expensive wait after qualfying for that first job. Although in the last 12 months or so there has been a good uptick in recruitment across the board. |

Aeros CANNOT quote you a time between graduation and employment. No school can guarantee you a time between graduation and employment (not only inside aviation, but everywhere) Some don't even manage to meet the quoted time between the beginning and the end of the course ! Or, if they really pretend to do so, you should question it. If they really guaranteed it, they would put it in writing and offer to reimburse your fee in total if you're not hired after 6 months, which they will not (imo). |
