Fleet Air Arm Medical

I have just passed the flying aptitude tests at Cranwell for FAA and am now waiting for an AIB date.

Can anyone please give me an idea of what the medical consists of (should I be successful at AIB of course).

Cheers

Medical similiar to CAA one but think a lot stricter.

If you pass AIB for any discipline you have a medical, lung capacity, weight/height, blood samples, urine samples, eye sight, colour blindness etc

On addition to that Aircrew require an ECG, EEG, Opticians eye test and an x-ray. It is why Aircrew have to stay down a day longer if successful.

Hope that helps

I sat my AIB in '95, but I'm happy to give you tips and answer any questions you've got (if I can).
E-mail me if you want to discuss.
Cheers,
LB
PS I was successful incidentally! I ended up flying Lynx Mk3.
