Fastest way - modular training

Hi guys,

i'd like to know what way is the fastest into a modular training to arrive to complete all necessary steps.
At the moment i'm doing PPL(A).

Next steps:
● could it be
better do the hours buildin( 90h sep) or atpl theory (14 exams) before?

● atpl theory and a few of hours during the study?
● Vfr night?

I'm talking about atpl distance learning, clearly, 'cause i'm busy with my job and i can't spend my time during all week.
And is there anyone else that knows a cheapest place in Europe for Hour Building??

Thank you very much.

It's not commonly realised, but you can do flying training while you are studying - you just can't take the skill test until you have taken all the exams.

Currently doing my PPL at LOMAC at EGGP,

PPL £5250
H/B £70 p/h on the PA38,

Pointless in going to the states for me,

rubbish, USA stopped being cheap ages ago, some very good deals to be had in the UK as well as the continental EU, you just have to look around.

As for the original question, I only recommend doing ATPLs somewhere at a later stage - it's better to get some hour building done first - with more experience a lot of the ATPL topics make far more sense and you will struggle less comparing to those who begin cracking on ATPLs just after getting their PPL

I can't see how any of this makes USA cheaper, you can get a permit spam can in EU for less than 10k too, what's your point?

Canada is also a nice option for hour building, especially with the current exchange rate.
I'm looking at Pacific Flying Club in Vancouver area.

fair point, but what about the accommodation, flights there and back and most importantly - as a modular guy you can work and hour build at the same time, meaning you don't loose income. If you go state-side for a while, you either loose all your holiday leave (that will be fundamentally necessary later on in the training) or you loose income. Fair enough, if you have parents that can cover your arse, well done, most of the modular students don't have that pleasure and staying with one foot in a paid job is a priority

I suggest you contact Alex at Bristol Ground School for advice.

I am not sure, but I think you need 150 hours to commence your CPL flight training. So best to time your finishing your ATPLs at a time when you have 150 hours total time. I would see how many hours a month your doing and then work out how many in 2 years you will do, minus that from 150 and then start your ATPLs correspondence course when you get to that flight time.

Where do you live ?

I think i'ill continue in this way : PPL, Some Hours Building( for example 20-30H) Start Atpl, finish HB...
Maybe in 18 months i could do it.
What do you think about it?
Thank you everbody.
