ME IR reval more than 3 months prior to expiry
 

Hello fellow aviators,

quick question. Anyone knows what the regulations are for revalidating the ME/IR more than 3 months before its expiry? I renewed it in october 2015 which means its valid till october 2016. But I need to renew it in January 2016 for it to be valid till january 2017. Is it acceptable to do a reval? or does it have to be done within 3 months prior to expiry?

You can revalidate when ever you want up to expiry of course after that it will be a renewal.

Yeah you can revalidate it but if it's more than 3 months prior to expiry you'll lose the original expiry date, and it will be valid for only 12 months, rather than up to 15.
