What to study for US Airman Certification exam?
 
hi all!

i am quite new to this forum. with that being said, i was just wondering if there are any helpful souls out there, who is foreign but is now flying in the US. i currently have a CPL with a C152 and C172 rating and is looking to get my US airman certificate to be able to finish and pursue flying there. im just not quite sure what to expect from the exam that is going to be give. a checkride? written? oral?

All three. I'm guessing you're a PI national. I think it's still an eighty question written test that covers regs, weather, performance, airspace and other stuff. You'll need to pass a TSA background check before you start flight training, complete a course of flight training and have an Instructor certify you are ready for the checkride. There will be an oral with the checkride that covers areas you missed on the written.


The "pursue flying there," if you mean flying for a career, is totally dependent on your right to work here.
