Flying Jobs in Australia

Is anyone able to let me know any information about flying jobs in Australia with minimal hours?
Is it necessary to go and work in the bush for a couple of years or is there a bit of work instructing in the cities (I live in Perth with my wife who would find it hard to get work in the bush)?
It is a decision that is difficult with the investment necessary - as I'm sure you all appreciate.
