Age and Advanced Apprentice / Cadet Pilot Training

Is 29 years old 'too old' to start up on a cadet pilot training scheme?.

Yes, I know we have the Equality Act, in theory, no-one should be discriminated against, but in reality it clearly happens.

How many years should an airline expect service out of a fresh pilot, 20 years, 30 years?

For most UK based ones, no it's not too old. There are quite a few people over 30 on the BA scheme. The recent CTC Qatar MPL had an upper limit of 28 though.

Thanks, that is much appreciated.
