Hour building on permit aircraft?
Is it possible to log hours on a permit type aircraft? My friend has a Zenair 601 which I will be allowed to hire out once finished for a good price. Do the CAA classify any hours flown on this type of aircraft to be counted towards the required 150?
MTOW is 544kg |
544 MToW is above microlight limitations, so long as it's registered as group A (which it should be given MTOW) then it's like flying a normal plane from an hours building point of view.
As a side note, don't tell anyone you're "renting it" because that is definitely not allowed on the permit system :). |
Not renting, just borrowing! No profit to be made.
Glad it will be fine for hour building, makes things cheaper for me. |

I think he meant the aircraft would be finished for a good price.
