ICAO(BFR&IR expired) to FAA

Hello, I am forwarding this post to find out if my expired ICAO licences (New Zealand and Australia) can be transferred over to FAA PPL?? Both BFR and IR need to be renewed but I herd that if you are going to get a FAA CPL ME IR all you need is just to get verification from FAA???
I would really appreciate for any PM for more details.

Would really appreciate for any help.
Thank you.:)

You are confusing a couple of things.
Under US regulation 61.75 you can get a license validation if you hold a ICAO license.
However, two limitations;
1.You will only receive a PPL plus any other rating you apply for (ME, IR)
2.Your non-FAA license needs to be valid and not expired/revoked/suspended

If you want a stand-alone FAA CPL-ME-IR you would need to do the following since your licenses are expired:
  1. FAA PPL written
  2. training as required
  3. PPL check ride
  4. FAA IR written
  5. training as required
  6. IR check ride
  7. FAA CPL written
  8. training as required
  9. CPL check ride

If you foreign license is valid you can skip step 1-3 by applying for the validation-license.
