Does anyone have any idea about adria flight school.I want to get my self enroll in it for Zero to A320 type ratings and they are going to charge me about 68000 euros.

Yes, they are very good, especially the instructors - very professional (mostly co-pilots and captains at the same time) - they offer the JAR modular courses from "zero" to Type Rating - all at the same place, which is fine and practical (no need to change any organization through the whole training process), plus you are dealing with the airline flight standards from the beginning. They are also very supportive for any kind of additional favours, such as accommodation organization.

since you are from Canada how come that you are looking for a flightschool in Slovenia? :)

Not sure what you wanna know...

I've been contracting for a company close by until recently and met a few guys who were looking to attend the school. As far as I heard the school is good, but a bit pricey. They fly old Tomahawks and I think a Seminole (but not sure) for MEIR. Also I've heard they use a King Air sim for MCC.

I have dual citizenship (Canadian and Slovenian, flyingfox320) so I'm trying to ensure I weigh all options and figure out what the best route is for my career.

While I am aware that I can train all over Europe, I wanted to see what the training is like in Slovenia. Basically, I'd like to know if anyone has attended the school, their success rate, whether they enjoyed the school, etc.

I will be talking with the school as well, but I thought I'd ask fellow peers as well.

If you wanna get a Slovenian license, there is another FTO in Croatia that does training under Slo CAA, and they are about 15% cheaper. I've been there about a year and a half ago finishing off my PPL. Very good instructors (one of them gone since), they have their own maintenance, very helpful. FTO itself is rather new, although they'd been traning PPL's for ages. They fly C150s, C172s and a Seminole...

Hi guys,
I'm currently in USA at EASA flight school in Ormond doing FAA IR/SE. If anybody has an idea to go there better change it..I was planning to finish there also CPL and then covert in their school in Leeds UK but they sucks so after IR ( that I have already payed) I'm coming back to Europe to convert FAA IR/SE to JAA IR/SE and then for CPL and IR ME. I was planning on either ADRIA in Slovenia or FAS in Rhodos Greece.
Any input or info will be appreciated

i like to study in adria because its based in an international airport and its good for a student pilot to study in a real atmospher of a real aviation its an advantage and its a good FTO as i heard before and because its cheaper

Hey guys + Girls ,
Has anyone heard good or bad of Adria Flight Training in Ljubljana , Slovenia , they are a subsidiary of Adria Airlines the slovenian national carrier, I've checked out there website and spoke with them on the phone , it seems like a good setup , professional outfit , providing training from 0 to Frozen atpl on brand new aircraft , All in price of 45000 euro, which includes all required hrs to easa JAA license , course/study material , however it doesnt include the civil aviation exam fees , or accomadation etc, but for 45000 i would'nt expect it to either ,
help me out here folks , what am i not seeing here, is it a good flight school, have you or any of your mates gone there, would you recommend it , how did they stack up to other flight schools ? :oh:
when i asked about the payments , :ugh:
the catch is ! for to get the price of 45k, you must pay up front and sign a contract , the contract they say would protect the trainee , should the flight school shut down , is it totall madness to pay up front .
if i decide to pay in stages during the training , it works out at 50,000 .
has anyone out there had experiences with similar schools or Adria flight training ?

Do they train international students as well, and give line training or only for EU nationals.

I did about a couple of hours flying with Adria while on holiday a year or so ago.
Very professional with knowledgeable, friendly instructors.
LJLJ is a great to fly from, international airport which is quiet enough.
I flew a Tomahawk although I think they have upgraded the fleet recently.

And the scenery in Slo is fantastic! I flew there just to gain experience of mountain flying and using short grass strips.

It was more expensive than I was expecting, on a par with what I'm paying in the UK and I'd be very wary of paying such a large amount of money upfront Hueyguy

I sent an inquiry to Adria school for July, and speaking about the 45k and instalments, I have found out that their new economy package now offers up to 16 monthly instalments and is now 39k eur.

yeah but are the landing fees and things like that included in the price? Is it all inclusive? If it isn't there are better options..

all,if you coming to adria flight school in slovenia i suggest you to think twice.. the school has drastically changed from mid 2012.. most of the instructors have left( mostly captains and first officers in adria airways) their fleet has been drastically trimmed down from 3 cruiser 4 pipers and one cessna.. to only 3 cruisers and 1 piper and 1 cessna. the cessna is prvatley owned but its still for use by the FTO.. they have no flight dispatchers.. lacklusture instructors who dont care much.. theres only 8 instructors who are in the school.. from a much bigger list of 25.. lectures were mostly done in english but some imprtant ones were in slovenian language.. but translated.. the CAA here only has exams 5 times a year.. which makes a serious issue.. there are no onsite flight dispatchers or technicians.. if theres a problem the plane can be grounded up to 2-3 weeks.. the only good thing i see is the FNPT they have.. fantstic for IFR traning.. key people have resigned.. and its not practical in doing a zero to atpl course here.. if you wanna fly every day here and complete the course as soon as possible.. you cant.. they give you 1000 reasons not to.. there are for sure more resignations on the way..
