Atpl New Syllabus
Hello,
I have been searching the net for an answer to this and am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I have already taken Air Law, HF&L, VFR & IFR comms on the old syllabus back in march 2011. In Decemeber 2011 I took Met and OPS which I passed on the new syllabus because my training provider said I had to take these if I didn't want to retake them in March. However, I am now slightly worried that the passes on the new syllabus have invalidated my passes on the old syllabus (because there was no mention of them on my pass letter from the CAA) Can you have a mixture of the two? My original 18 month period to complete everything began in March 2011 and should end august this year. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether I have messed up here? Any thoughts or help would be fantastic. Thanks |
There are four exams on the old syllabus (for fixed wing) that cannot be crossed over - otherwise they can be mixed. Nothing should be invalidated.

Thanks for your speedy answers guys, hopefully all should be well

New and Old mix
From what my school told me: no you cannot mix new and old syllabus. You're school should have told you that you can take old syllabus exams up until the start of April. Your school may have had their own set of rules that they didn't want any old syllabus exams but you should have been told. Could have been a simple mix up, I'd get onto your school about this. |
What is meant by "new syllabus"? Are this the EASA exams or still JAR exams?
|
EASA ones. The same stuff shuffled around with new questions.

Thanks for the answer :)
