Lufthansa flight training

Hey guys,

does anybody know whether or not I can apply to the Lufthansa sponsored flight training, aka Lufthansa Verkehrsfliegerschule, even though I have completed my ATPL theory and PPL?

Why would you want to do that?!

As a secondary school diploma I did the Ib which is only valid in Germany if you have 28pts or more. I had 27 which meant that my diploma wasnt gonna be valid in Germany and I could not apply to the Lufthansa ab-initio programme. I therefore decided to follow a modular training route alongside completing a university degree. I recently found out that by having a uni degree I would be able to apply again. I know for a fact that the max FLYING experience you are allowed to have is a ppl but I am not sure about the ATPL theory part. I sent them an e-mail already asking about this but never received a reply.

Hope you are not confused anymore :ok:

No that cleared it up. I misread the ppl in your first post for a cpl. ;)

Sorry, can't help you with that. I'm in GYR at the moment and there are a few students that already have a ppl here, but none that I know of that had the ATPL theory prior to applying.

Hey Airman
I'd say: Just apply! As long as you meet all the requirements? It is never too much to know more then you have to. You would just do it all over again, LH style....

Yeah I agree, it is definately worth a try.

is the ATPL theory at LH done in English or German?

Back when i was there the whole thing was in german, however handouts in english. You must be fluent in german anyway, otherwise you won't pass the aptitude tests.
