JAA ATPL

I want to jion a flying school so I can start my JAA ATPL Modular(since I already have the JAA PPL) but I can't make up my mind for many resasons. The two school I have chosen are OAA and CAE Global Academy( Évora Portugal).

Oxofrod aviation UK

I think their is no need for any intoduction lol
  1. The JAA ATPL corse + CAA exams price (6,500 Euros)
  2. I'll be staying in house (room rental) which is going to cost me around 2,500 Euros (6 months)
  3. I know for a fact that the cost of living is quite high in the UK
  4. The distance between Kidlinton and OAA is 2 km

CAE Evora Portugal

  1. JAA ATPL Price (should be cheaper than oaa for sure)
  2. I'' be living a guest house which is going to cost me 3600 Euros
  3. There is a 5 km drive to the airport
  4. At the moment there is a finical crisicts in Portugal
  5. Cost of living is cheaper than UK
About other expences (food ect ) I think they should cost me around 5000 Euros correct me if i'm worng !
thanks

OAA is an excellent school for both modular and integrated (I'm from an integrated background at OAA) and I can tell you that even if you live at the other side of Kidlington it'll take a max of 20 mins walk to get to the school in the morning. If you're staying on site, it's a 1 minute stroll to the school buildings. I cannot comment on the portugese school unfortunately.
