best schools in Europe for ATPL residential ground school in English

I want to do my ATPL theory this summer, not by distance learning, but full time ground school. JUST ATPL, nothing integrated, will do ME/IR + CPL separate afterwards)

There is the USA option, but I would prefer to stay in Europe. Besides the UK schools, can anyone recommend other schools in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, any really) where you can do this (in the English language?)

any tips greatly appreciated!

Look at the Baltic Aviation Academy in North Europe. It's a good time to move here in summer as it's too cold in winter. You could put your direct request to [email protected] - as far as I know she is primary responsible for training up to type rating.
In addition, you will find cheap accommodation compare to uk, france or italy.

Airmed in Valencia offers an ATPL course over 10 months. The good part is that the course is run half time (for around 4000 euros) so the rest of the time you can do some hour building. The bad part is that there is not set starting date. And by the way they use Nordain books.

Airmed USED to be Spain's best Flight Academy for Integrated ATPL. Sadly, since 2003-2004, things have gone downhill a lot... I don't know how they are at the moment, but they did rehire some experienced people like the Head of Training (the retired head of training Iberia).

Adventia in Salamanca and FTE in Jerez (which has several ex-Airmed instructors) are still good options I believe.
Also there is Gestair in Madrid.

Airmed??

But FTE only does integrated. And Airmed seems a great option, but I haven't read many good things about them...

Well either that or you go to the U.K. man simple as that. Only other example I can think of is egnatia in Greece.
