CAE Global Academy

Anyone know much about CAE Global Academy, have heard lots of positive feedback but wondered if any further feedback out there?

Want to send my son to complete a JAA integrated course and have first hand experience of CAE's Pilot Provsisoning division and how they can offer jobs?

ATP courses at CAE Global Academy

Hello pilotatlast
I noticed your post and hope that you got the peer information you were looking for.
I just wanted to point your interest to our European academies in Amsterdam, Brussels and Evora (Portugal) where we offer JAA approved ATPL courses.
Is there any specific training location you were looking at?
I’d be happy to connect you with our local experts who could also address your questions about the Pilot Provisioning program and access to pilot jobs after the training.
In the meantime, may I suggest that you have a look at CAE Global Academy for more information on the training programs offered and our locations around the world?
Please let me know if you have any specific question I can answer.
Cheers
CAE Global Academy

don't belive their crap.CAE, CTC, Oxord, they are all desperate for your $!

I know guys who have been there, they have no job, nothing.

just check their t/r training, they have no customers.

(if CAE come here to post, it means they really need fresh cash:{)

Tried Contacting CAE couple months back to get my ATPL. They said they only induct students sponsored by the Airlines.

I will be sponsored by the Airline I am working for, but have not heard from them much.

They are pretty slow at replying to the enquires for one. Rest I do not know how they are.

I had my CPL(A)/frozen ATPL(A) at CAE Global Academy Évora. I think CAE is a pretty competent organization, I enjoyed my time there and think I am as well or best prepared than pilots from other FTOs - I also believe it is more how much does the student pilot put into learning than the quality of instruction (of course instruction has to be of quality but there are many quality FTOs, so the success will depend on how much is put into it).

As for the provisioning programs it really depends if you get lucky - they have programs with some airlines in which pilots sponsor their TR and then go work for the companies, the pay is not big but it is a good start. However there have been less and less chances at these programs with the increase of low hour pilots that come out of their academies. I have finished my course one year ago and still have not been able to join any of their programs.

Feel free to ask any further questions.

Hishi Hish, from what i know, CAE @ Évora was not accepting students or they were accepting students only for ground studies. All aircraft were move to CAE @ Phoenix . I think you should contact them

You welcome :) that is right . I was not sure how it is done nowadays but I heard it is done the way you said, GS at Évora then flight training at Phoenix. I know a few mates who did their training there (I didn't do at CAE), one was my flight instructor. I can't tell you much more about the flight school, what I can say is that the airfield is almost on Évora (maybe 2 Km from city centre). The city is not as big as Lisbon or Porto, but it is very beautiful :)

About the school, personally, i would not recommend because I think it is a big investment for a license where you can do it much cheaper here in Portugal and you end with more 50 hours - I finished with 200TT, at CAE Évora you finish only with 150TT and pay almost the double price.

But there are a few things you have to consider as well. Since you're not from Portugal, I think the price you pay at CAE includes accommodation and transport between the airfield and your house. Now the flight training was moved to the USA, I really don't know how this is done.

Finally, in terms of employment, honestly, only 2 of the 10 guys I know from there have a job - One at LyonAir, that means Pay2Fly, the other one as a instructor - it was mine instructor on VFR syllabus.

But I can't say how accurate is what I am saying because everything I wrote here was based in things that I see or is happening here - in other CAE I really don't know . But the true thing is that many people that enters from CAE lands at Évora :)

I don't know much about the quality of the training (although the things I hear/read are normally positive), the price is quite high and it doesn't include any accommodation or transport in Evora or Brussels, only in Phoenix.
I was there early March in a Open Day and they were great, their conditions seemed ok as well (I don't know any other FTO so I can't compare).
