Getting Sponsorship With Good Airlines
 

Hey Would Three A levels In ICT business studies and media studies get me a sponsorship with any airline? or atleast apply for sponsorships? i seen flybe want A level in maths and science, so i wont be able to apply? Please post here

You've pretty much answered your own question there.

So called 'Sponsorships' (an old term where the airline would fully fund training upfront with 0 cost to the cadet - something not seen in this form for a LOOOOONG time) was replaced by 'mentored' schemes which are as tough to get on but require at least some (read probably 60%+) cost upfront from the cadets. Even mentored schemes are like hens teeth and as such the airlines can (and are) as selective as they like about setting the eligibility criteria for them.

The ONLY differentiator at the initial sift of the at least 1500 applications they will get is these criteria and to even make it onto the 'possibly consider' pile you need to hit each one - so if FlyBe ask for specific A-Levels (as did NetJets and most other schemes I recall recently) then you will need to have those in hand.

As Jambone suggests - take a rainy weekend and plough through some of the posts in this thread (the stickies are a good place to start) and don't skip over all the posts that paint a gloomy picture of the market, the training and the cost of entry to the RHS of any kind of aircraft.

There are still some sponsored schemes out there, however though they do not require the student to fork out the money up front they will deduct some of the training cost later on from his salary. Same thing really, but no up front cost to the student at all.

Getting in isn't easy however and some of them require you to speak the local language. For example you need to be able to speak pretty fluent german for the lufthansa cadet sponsorship, i think you have to be able to speak german and french for the swiss one but i'm not sure about that one.
