When/where can I take MCC

Don't have LASORS handy, and heard there is a 2010 version coming this month.

Here is my situation:
  • Live in Denmark
  • Passed all ATPL exams in UK
  • Have yet to fly any practical exams (converting from FAA)
  • Got offered to do an MCC course in Denmark

So, is there a rule about when one may start the MCC course (e.g. does it have to be after the CPL)?
Is there a rule about where the MCC course may be taken (e.g. I can't do my CPL in country other than UK)?

Cant find it now, but Im sure you have to have completed CPL and IR but dont need the licence issued prior to starting.

Will keep digging for you, but Im sure someone here will have the link.

Yes, you must hold a valid JAA PPL/IR or CPL/IR [JAR-FCL 1.261(d)(1)(ii)]

No

MCC course will be useless before you have your IR, it is all IR procedures in multi-crew environment.

Thanks for the replies.

As I wrote, I'm an FAA convert.
Prior airline experience, so MCC before IR in my case is not useless. Just looking at getting it done in the most painless way possible.

If you have already multipilot experence you don't need to do a MCC.

You send your log books to the CAA and they will issue a cert in leu.

I have a couple of mates who have never done a MCC due to operating a single crew type with multicrew SOP's then when they went to a multicrew type they didn't require a MCC.

I will have to look into that.

My questioning so far hasn't given me that answer since I don't meet the 500 hours of multi-crew requirement.

Nope you won't qualify then
