B1 eng to ATPL

Hello all,

Just a thankyou to the couple of folks (especially FT and Mr Fix)who took the time to give me valuable info and insight into whether or not to take the step from B1 eng to flying. As a result I am going to give it a go and see what happens!!!!
If anyone else has any views and advice please feel free to post!!!

Regards,

DS

Go for it!! I did and have never regretted leaving line engineering.

A good website for you to look at is:-

The guy who writes it is a little ahead of you and is 100% open about the costs, unlike a lot of the dreamers on this forum

I am a B1 engineer and I am going to take on my ATPL ground school soon.
My opinion is do it.
If you are a B1 engineer, there are always jobs out there if you are having a hard time getting a job as a pilot.
Just be ready to spent quite a bit of cash from the start and take unpaid time from work if you can for a year or so to complete training the right way.
