April ATPL exam results

Anyone had their results yet? Still waiting for mine

Andy_20 22nd Apr 2009 15:30

Still waiting.... heard a rumour saying they normally come on a thursday.

Good Luck Everyone!:ok:

Alex Whittingham 22nd Apr 2009 15:35

The CAA say they're not expecting/expected to get the results out till next week. They say they'll do it before the weekend if they can, though.

aintboeingaintgoing 22nd Apr 2009 15:38

Thursday

When I got mine they always came on the Thursday if hey did not arrive by post on the thursday then give your school a call....

Just out of interest was the exam hall full?

SW1 22nd Apr 2009 15:41

Phase C at London Met, Exam hall was about 3/4 full.

Andy_20 22nd Apr 2009 15:43

Depended on the subject! FP was pretty full....

Alex Whittingham 24th Apr 2009 10:17

The latest from the CAA is that they will be posted on Monday or Tuesday next week. There is also no chance the schools will get the electronic results before the weekend as the man responsible is away today.

Andy_20 24th Apr 2009 10:54

Boo to the CAA!.... haha, :ok:

SW1 24th Apr 2009 11:00

Thats strange, a frined of mine from OAA has already received his... what about the rest of us?:ugh:

Alex Whittingham 24th Apr 2009 11:25

That is strange. The info came straight from the head of the section at the CAA.

my brother is at OAA and he has his! :)

SW1 24th Apr 2009 11:29

I know, my friend had his about an hour ago, according to facebook.

Anyone have any info into why some schools would get them before any others?

767200ER 24th Apr 2009 16:20

How did they do? if you don't mind me asking, i'm just anxious about mine.

laverda62 24th Apr 2009 18:05

CAA Monopoly!!

Disappointing performance by the CAA on the April exam results, they charge us when we are late with exam change requests, running tight rules on such things, then charge significant sums of money to sit exams yet provide a poor service when it is their turn to meet obligations of delivering results in a timely fashion. You would have thought after such a long time they would have a fail safe procedure on such an important aspect of licensing. The European Commission needs to look into this monopoly organisation and the lack of competition to the ATPL/CPL exam process that could be delivered by other organisations if they were allowed to and in a more professional manner.

SW1 24th Apr 2009 19:12

Think its a bit crap really, as Im waiting for my final exams and have arrangements myself abroad to sort out- conditional on those results. Im slightly dissapointed with the CAA...

hst145 25th Apr 2009 18:16

It is bad!

When you can do exams online at schools the CAA seems years behind

The exam fee in Florida is £86 pounds and for 14 exams that is more than the course that I paid for!!!

SW1 27th Apr 2009 10:27

Anyone heard anything yet? Post just arrived and still nothing!!!! :ugh::ugh::ugh:

bravobravoflyer 27th Apr 2009 11:45

Still waiting- spoke to Bristol last week and delay is due to Easter bank holiday.

SW1 27th Apr 2009 11:47

Any idea when the schools will have the electronic results?

Alex Whittingham 28th Apr 2009 08:57

The electronic results have just arrived

SW1 28th Apr 2009 10:43

yeah got them now- good news:ok:

Andy_20 28th Apr 2009 11:07

95% average on Mod 1, thanks Bristol! Well done to everyone with good news today!(finally)

BetpumpS 28th Apr 2009 12:16

Considering this is a Rumour Network:

I've heard that if anyone puts their ATPL average on their CV, it gets binned.

bajadj 28th Apr 2009 13:49

I think thats a bit mean!

I think putting an average on a CV is acceptable, although anyone who puts the 14 individual grades on a CV should be killed and then eaten.

Kyriakos 28th Apr 2009 14:16

i agree on both last posts.
especially the second last.

BetpumpS 28th Apr 2009 14:29

Andy_20,

was just having a laugh. Congratulations. 95% is an excellent grade.

I was just making a point (albeit in a kak-handed way) that those who got 76% should feel no different.

I'm just surprised that in the last few years, during posts like "what is the best school" etc, people always quote the ATPL average.

I've even seen a few quote PPL averages too.

Anyway - didn't mean to rain on your parade. Great achievement.

Bobbie73 28th Apr 2009 16:16

YEP

:DJust in... i think those poor computers that marked them had a couple of days off for bank holidays! Hope you got some good results!

Andy_20 28th Apr 2009 17:25

Betpumps, no worries! i understand where your coming from! a pass is a pass at the end of the day! and thats what everyone wants!

alanmtc 28th Apr 2009 18:08

All 14 in the bag! Very well done to everyone who got some good news today! Another hurdle passed.....

ps - a special mention to the bristol bank! god bless you!

Kash360 29th Apr 2009 01:37
