OZ PPL flying in Norway - Possible?

Hi Guys,

I'm an Australian PPL holder with NVFR - about 200 hours. At present I'm living here in Norway and understand that Norway pilots are licensed by the CAA.

I've been on the CAA website but cannot seem to find any information about converting my CASA licence to a CAA one.

I've searched here but all I could find info for was converting an ATPL.

Can anybody tell me what hoops I must jump through to organise a CAA licence, or any temporary steps I can take to conduct PPL flights here in Norway without one.

Cheers guys,
Airbumps

As far as I know you are allowed to fly in Norway with your ICAO license for up to one year, but I'm not exactly sure how it's done. I suppose most flying clubs will know!

(Note that the regulator is the NCAA - Norwegian CAA - Luftfartstilsynet, not to be confused with the UK CAA!)

Try Luftfartstilsynet - Forsiden for more info, and possibly the Nordic Forum here on PPRuNe.
