Dollar to the Pound - Where is the cheapest country to hour build ?

Morning.

A little brain stormer for this bright and sunny morning!

So where is the cheapest place to hour build these days?

The pound to the dollar is s*it at the moment, 50 hours block rate coming back at £2231 in a Cessna 150, which obviously is a lot cheaper than the UK but my question is...

can I get it cheaper else where!?

Have a great day.

South Africa is where I was looking to carry out my PPL.

It was just dropping from R19 to the GBP and was around R17/1GBP.

Making R75k ~ £4,400

Now that the GBP is weaker again the exchange rate is around R13.5/1GBP

As seen here;

GBP/ZAR Currency Conversion Chart - Yahoo! Finance

R75K is over £5,500 and that's before you add the flight at £700 to get there.

Worth looking into though. :cool:
