Training In Australia?

Over the past 2 years i have been slowly doing my flying training to get my CPL/MECIR/ATPL's.

I have just finished my PPL and want to do my training fulltime. Does anyone have any idea of a good flying college anywhere in Australia where i can finish my CPL/MECIR/ATPL's?

Apparently there is a Aviation College in Coffs Harbour, but i cannot find any information from it. Has anyone heard of this place?

thanks

I've looked into this briefly as I have family out there and thus it represents a realistic training route. As far as I can see, short of hour building, the only place to make meaningful progress towards a JAA licnense in Australia is with WAA.

If you can afford to go full time and are prepared to learn in foriegn airspace then it must be one of the best value options if your savings are in £s.

If anyone else has any other experience let me know.

I don't think he's looking for JAA training.

For Coffs, I couldn't find any thing easily searchable online but I only spent 1 minute on it. If you want more info, I'd head over to the Dununda and Godzone forums.

Good luck, Coffs is a great part of the NSW coastline. (Although I preferred Port Macquarie) :ok:

since u r at sydney, u should take a look at Bankstown Airport. Its a busy place with lots of active flying schools.

Coffs Harbour is a nice place.

prflying101, before you leap into Coffs Harbour, you should be aware that it was hit by heavy flooding last week. Here's just one media link (do a Google search for many others) :

Training

I am planning to do a CPL and CIR in Melbourne. Does anybody know which training schools are best- ie. which ones have reasonable prices and good quality instructors who know what they are doing and know how to teach? I heard General Flying Services were pretty good but expensive.

CPL & MECIR in Melbourne

Good day

I did my training at MFT - melbourne flight training. Very happy to recommend them. Great and highly experienced instructors, many Grade 1 instructors. Always happy to work with you. Give Glen a call.

From what I understand General Flying Training - now Oxford only do modular CPLs for airlines.

Just back from 5.7 hours in a twin today now working as a CPL.

Cheers

JERR

cdp1981, pay a visit to Moorabbin Flying Services and you'll understand why. Good attention to all students, experienced but approachable instructors and, above all, the newest aircraft fleet at Moorabbin with more new aircraft in the pipeline this year. Prices are very reasonable too.
