Is there any twin a PPL low hour can fly?
A PPL holder in the UK with 60 hours total time obtains a Multi engine rating. Now, is there any twin engine aircraft which he will be able to fly as the sole pilot/solo?
I am asking because I would like to know if one has to have significant experience before he can be the sole pilot of the twin. |
you cannot have a multi engine rating with 60 hours total time. you may only do a multi engine rating course once you have a minimum of 70 hours pilot in command time.

Under JAA, that is.

Ok. If one has the 70 PIC hours, does the ME course and obtains the ME rating? Is there any twin a PPL low hour can fly solo?
|
Assuming you have an MEP rating then you are legally entitled to fly a multi engine piston type. Whether you get to rent one or access to one however with low hours is another issue. Insurance requirements may stand in your way.

Minimum for my Club, who operates a seneca 1 is 15 hours minimum and does not need to be solo hours either.
If you did 15 hours dual, then you will be able to hire our Seneca 1. VFR |
