Hi there

Does anybody in here how what type of calculator that is allowed in the atpl exams???

I need a brush up course in mathematics since i cant remember how too calculate this one:

4500` cos 47*=????

do i have to put cos47 first or 4500 first

the challenge is taken from my GEN. NAV book from BGS page 2.8

All depends on the calc, and how flexible it is, I would recommend the Casio FX series, just have to type "cos47 x 4500 =" you should get an answer of 3068.99

I assume you are doing Gnav, and the 4500 is NM or km

Casio FX series are allowed; in fact any calculator as long as it is non-programmable.

Whichever calculator you buy, read through the instructions as some can have a different logic to others. I have one casio calculator where I would have to type 47cos and another cos 47.
