Applications and Skills assessments

hi all,

i intend to send an application form to oxford and cabair, both for integrated FO training, after i do my A-levels in June 2009.

how much time before i intend starting training should i send my application forms? (some schools require that the student sends the application form 1 year before they intend starting training, does this apply for these schools??)

Also, if i am accepted into either school and am offered a place in their program, how long would i have to wait for the next course to start? and would i be able to choose when I'd like to start my training?

thanks a lot for your help!
kurt

Kurt, cabair will arrange for you to sit an assessment day as soon as is convinient for you. I had mine within 3 weeks of applying. Upon successful completion of the assessment day, you will be asked when you would like to start training. Assuming there are places available and you would be ready, I would say it is technically possible to start right away. there are no cool-off periods or limitations.

Classes start every 2 months at the beginning of the month (january, march, may, july... etc)

In january when I had my assessment there were still places available on the march class but due to personal circumstances I chose July... wish I had chosen May now, i cant wait :ok:

Once you have taken the test, how long is the test valid for before you have to do the selection test again?
