i can probably help you with that. I've applied at OAT and been to the admission tests. I had never heard about Cabair or other schools in England before since I live in the south of France. However, all of the guys I met at the assessment test seemed to think that Cabair or other schools in England don't offer the same privileges as OAT, especially at the end of your training. I've understood that your chance of being hired after your training at OAT is a lot higher than if you come out of other schools. Eventually I failed the compass test (maths part) but I have a place at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, so that's probably where I'll be next year. What I mean is that you don't just have to look at OAT, Cabair or the equivalent in England, you can also check out universties in Europe, or the States. It may open a lot of other options to you, to be taken seriously.

I heard that OAA give you a gold plated license and a £1,000,000.00 salary with BA the day you finish.

Joking aside, I personally have no experence of OAA or any other intergrated school, other than the students and fellow pilots I have met. There seem to be a lot of ex oxford students out there with no job, and yes they are intergrated. OAA are selling you somthing, thats their job. Just like safestyle UK, "buy one and get one free". I would think long and hard before commiting £60,000.00 to anyone. What does it really buy you???

Here's a thought go moduar save some money and join Ryanair's cadet course.
No I don't fly for them, i am stuck in africa, but on the 737's, and I went modular.

Sorry gents, I thought he was referring to GPS. The OAA fleet has Garmin GPS, not sure which model, but no glass cockpits at all.
