Flight instructor requirements - Help!

Hello again.

Can anyone list the qualifications needed to be a flying instructor?

I'm currently doing my PPL and am off to California in April to complete the course.

Thanks.

Minimum of CPL and 200 hours (I think for fixed wing - check in LASORS) before you can take the instructor course; that is if you wish to be paid. If you want to be an instructor for no remuneration, then you do not require a CPL but you must have passed at least CPL theory.

You not joining the RAF then?

Cheers

Cheers Whirls, your a credit to pprune!

I'm not sure yet mate, my mind is all mixed up - I think I'm just going to see how the course in Cali goes and try and decide from there.
