faa atp xcountry hrs
 

question to anyone who knows:
the 500 hr xcountry min for faa atp has to be flights more than 50nm or does point to point hrs count?

Cross country definition is a departure at point A, and landing at point B...
However
When obtaining experience for PPL, CPL, IR or ATP prerequisites, it is understood that cross country is that points A and B are separated by a distance in excess of 50 NM. Any problem for you...?

I dont have the US FAA regulations at hand, but it should be listed and specified in FAR 1 (Definitions and Abbreviations) and FAR 61 (Certification of Pilots and Flight Instructors).

Part 61, Note, applies to ATPL only

(vi) For the purpose of meeting the aeronautical experience requirements for an airline transport pilot certificate (except with a rotorcraft category rating), time acquired during a flight—
(A) Conducted in an appropriate aircraft;
(B) That is at least a straight-line distance of more than 50 nautical miles from the original point of departure; and
(C) That involves the use of dead reckoning, pilotage, electronic navigation aids, radio aids, or other navigation systems
