FAA ATP in Australia?

Looking to do a FAA ATP both written and practical. I have been researching this topic and can only find archived information from the year 2000. Does anyone know the best and cheapest way to obtain an FAA ATP from Australia or Asia?

FAA ATPL in Australia

I'm not aware of any organisation authorised to issue any FAA licence. The only foreign licence that can be issued in Australia is the UK CPL via Western Australia Aviation College.

Perhaps things have changed.
