Insurances

Dear fellow pruners,

I'm soon to be wandering over to the US to start my ATPL and am wondering which insurances to 'invest' in.

Namely;

- Critical Illness (to cover my mortgage if I or my wife become too ill to work)

- Loss Of Training Fees Insurance (just in case I lose my Class1 medical but am still able to work elsewhere)

- Life Assurance in case either my wife or I pop our proverbials

- US health insurance (inc. dental, repatriation, etc etc, in case anything goes awry in the States)

If anyone has any views on this fascinating subject then I'd love to hear from you...you know, how much they cost, cheaper alternatives etc...

Cheers

Birky

There are various threads about insurance so run a search. With regard to loss of Training Fees I doubt you will find such insurance - and if you do it will cost! From people I know its around £250 for 3 months with some kind of flying cover.
