This is not only a good book, but an excellent one.

When I started back in 1998/99 I purchased this book from some UK Pilot shop in the center of London.

His recommendation was to do FAA followed by conversion to the then CAA license, and save a bundle.

I did. Save a bundle that is.

That book was worth its weight in gold. Well recommended.

Excellent book. Helped immensely until a lent it to a fellow officer who then omitted to return it. Thieving nav!

I agree - excellent book. Was recommended to me by my PPL instructor when I first mentioned that I thought I might consider getting a CPL/IR.

Although extremely useful, the version I bought was not up to date with all of the JAR requirements - has it been updated since?

Tried that link - it's dead now.

Any chance of a link to it on Amazon please?

sixmilehighclub 29th Jan 2006 00:55

Um yes, try going to Amazon and searching for it yourself?

AlexEvans 29th Jan 2006 03:16

Oops, I didn't spot the name of the book in the thread title, otherwise I wouldn't have asked for a link.:O

As it happens, it isn't available on Amazon, but the author has his own site:
