M1 Visa Waiting Times

Hello guys 'n gals

A quick question .......

I am hoping to pop over to Florida to do a CPL course soon-ish and wanted to know how long other British passport holders have had to wait for their appointments / visa's to be issued at the US embassy in London!!??

Am I being a bit optimistic to get an appointment and have the visa issued within a couple of weeks?

Any experiences or comments about this would be most welcome!

Thanks in advance!

from recent experience, appointment times are approx 4 -5 weeks from phoning up to apply, then visa issue (if approved) takes approx 5 days.

I phoned on 27th October and next date for me way November 24th..

Spit:confused:

Thanks guys!

The US embassy website says that the waiting time in Belfast is 29 days!! Even longer than in London!

Would it be alright to pop to Lisbon as it is a same day service there for the appointment/interview and just a day for the visa to be issued! Can I do this, or does it have to be done within the UK if I have a British passport?
