Upgrade from PPL to Professional License
 

Greetings,

I have my PPl and now wish to do my Professional License. I was thinking of doing it in South Africa?

1. Who would you recommend and
2. What should I look out for when chosing a school?
3. Costs for Commercial and Initial Turbine rating?

Hi Mary,

SA is a really good inexpensive place to do some training. I haven't as yet started my PPL but have been doing research for ages. One of the better schools I know is Natal Flight Centre. They are based in Durban, about an hour's flight from Johannesburg. I live quite close to this school and know a few students who have passed through successfully! The weather is fantastic all year round which is different to UK!

Just check with them but I don't think they offer the JAA sylabus??
