Question Flying Jumpers on a PPL (not a thread about Branson and Co)

First post for a while due to no internet, but it's great to be back

I read an article about PPL holders being allowed to fly parachute jumpers, providing that they have the appropriate type rating. Obviously no pay involved, but I'd jump at the chance of doing this (pardon the pun) and would happily give up weekends and holidays to do this type of flying. A great opportunity to fly a different type and build hours and experience. Does anyone know of any clubs that 'employ' PPL's to undertake such flights and what sort of GA hours they expect you to have?

Cool

Do a search using your favoured system for British Parachute Association.

You'll find contact details for the clubs and centres in your area.

The minumum requirements for pilots are just that and each will drop zone will have its own insurance company specified minimums along with their own policy for pilots.

Self help type advice but it really is the best way of going about it.

If you get to fly Meatbombs you'll come back in a year and infront of the Meatbombers Anonymus you'll say:

"Hello i'm GJB, i drop MEatbombs ... and ... and it changed my life"
