Iberia's shameful treatment of cadets
Hi folks, I've been in touch with a few ex-Iberia cadets who joined the airline in an ab initio pilot training program. Turns out they are collectively suing Iberia due to a breach of contract and poor treatment.
They joined pre-covid, forked up upwards of €100k and signed a contract for the F/O position with the condition that the demand was there. Come today, a handful of cadets are offered the position and the rest are given a quick shafting via phone call with a follow up email 3 months later, no reason given. Aced ATPLs and flight school flying phases and were deceived for no reason. Some cadets which began later and performed below standard were offered the position. One can only speculate why.
Funnily enough they re-opened the cadet program last summer for the next group of young cadets to be tricked. How can an airline of this magnitude get away with this?

i heard something similar happened to LOT Polish airline cadets from BAA. Kids were made to pay extra as LOT required some extra hours, and now ended up with a unilateral termination without anyone getting the job. BAA not providing any sort of support. Poor fellows
