Thumbs up ATPL(H)

I'm considering doing my ATPL(H).

What (if any) unsecured finance is available?

Thanks in advance

How much are we talking about? Before the crisis there were very few places that gave significant funding without securing a property to it in a secure loan with little/no payment holidays, so without a job in a reasonable time you can start getting into precarious positions. Partial funding was possible maybe up to £20-25k via an unsecured loan.

But now we are in the worst economic crisis in living memory with thousands and thousands of pilots being made redundant, investment in any pilot training will be seen as insanely high risk and you may find little help from banks. A lot of heli guys are ex forces anyway, so that may be your best bet.

Just wait it out.

Good luck.

An ATPL (H) shouldn't cost you anything - it's just a few extra tick boxes on your next LPC or OPC - as long as you've got 1000 hours and 350 hours multi crew (plus a few others) - your company should pay for it.

Or did you mean a CPL(H)?
