VCL &/OR NCAT Restriction

After sitting a CAD test I was told I could have a class 1 with the VCL / NCAT restrictions on it.

Now this is not a colour blind post but it is a request for a couple of things.

CPL with a day restriction and NCAT. I'd like to compile a list of aviation flying jobs obtainable for someone with those restrictions.

I am also trying to clear up whether my CPL is only valid in UK airspace or EU airspace?

I believe some that would be open to the holder of the above restriction are as follows:
  • Glider Tug
  • Parachute
  • Aerial Photography
  • Banner Towing
  • Flight Instructor
  • Ferry Pilot (although is that classed as commercial transport)
It bugs me that I can't even do freight transport but what else is there? Are there any more obscure ones? My original plan had been to get my CPL and try and find work in Africa bush planes (who don't fly at night and only do VFR) but I need to narrow down if my CPL is only a UK one first. Plus the NCAT restriction if that went to Africa with me would stop my plans all together. I am awaiting a response from the CAA but if anyone has any info on these points it would be greatly appreciated.

Find a Consultant who specialises with your particular issues; ideally one who has had dealings with the CAA.

Don’t give up easily on your dream...you can try one of the other accepted test in one of the others EASA members states! But You’ll have to go trough training in on of the other states (Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, etc), as I see it’s not a problem if you’re able to pass one of these tests.
