Central Flight Training Tatenhill

I'm looking for some reviews and information regarding these guys, have heard them mentioned a few times by people as providing excellent training, I want to do my MEP, CPL and MEIR. Has anyone done something similar recently and how did you find it?

I know all of the MEIR stuff is on steam gauges and part of me really likes that, however, the other part wants to make it as easy as possible on what will be the hardest flying I have ever done.

Thanks

I have used Craig and his team for instructor training and can’t fault them. Nice professional, relaxed approach. I would expect similar attitude for their other courses.

As DD says - a nice, professional group of guys with a relaxed approach who are also often able to work around your other commitments. I can’t fault them at all.

Regarding dials, it’s no biggie; you quickly learn where to look just the same as if you’re going from dials to glass (or vice versa). It’s also good experience to have as not all airlines/AOC operators use all-glass cockpits, assuming that’s what you’re aspiring to.

Though almost all airlines/AOC operators do so you might want to do your training on glass too.

Hi ‘banditb6’,

I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I have actually just finished doing my CPL, MEP & ME-IR with the guys at Central Flight Training a few days ago. It’s so good to hear what others have put below, as it shows that everybody else has had the same great experience as me. The quality of the training that I received, in my opinion, was second to none.

They don’t place an emphasis on flashy cockpits and shiny aircraft. Throughout the 3 courses they never just tried to satisfy getting me through the test, they focused on building a deep core knowledge and understanding of everything related to single pilot flying. This was exhausting sometimes as they never stop firing questions at you! But you can’t help but absorb the knowledge, making you so much more confident when it comes to briefs and unexpected situations in the air. Very hands-on as well, and focus on flying very accurate datums.

As others have said, their flexibility is a massive positive also, especially if you have a job at the same time. The support they gave, even outside of hours, really helped also (although I probably shouldn’t broadcast that for their sake) but sometimes that is very important.

Anyway, feel free to contact me directly if you need me to bull them up anymore.... I’m new to pprune but am sure there’s something for you to click to contact me

Thanks, I have just tried to send you a message but it says you have chosen not to receive them, but I assume it's because you have only 1 post? Are you able to message me so I can respond? Thanks
